The GM100 being 100% waterproof would be a huge plus out in the field, the quick lock is a bonus. I would only get the Lowrance units in some special circumstances though. The iFinder is the only model with WAAS support. The GM100 accepts an external Lowrance antenna, but it is not a powered "active" antenna. The GM100 and the iFinder both got good marks for lock on time in all the reviews I read. Lowrance has not made any new models in quite some time. For the time being we will continue to carry both the Magellan and the Lowrance but rely on the Lowrance when in the jungle."
